The Boone County Sheriff's Office completed its first Citizens Academy Class on March 16th, 2009.  We graduated 32 students from this inaugural class.  The class was conducted every Monday night for seven consecutive weeks.  The Sheriff's Office staff had a great time teaching the class and I know from the class reviews that the students had just the same amount of fun and at the same time gained valuable knowledge of how the Sheriff's Office operates and functions. I want to personally thank each and every member of this class for making it a great experience.  I look forward to having some of you back to assist with the next class and also work some of the festivals that are fast approaching. 

The next Boone County Citizens Academy Class will be held from October 26, 2009 to December 7, 2009 from 6pm to 9:30pm every Monday evening.  Please pay attention to this website for further information on how to access the application.  In the meantime you can access the county website at http://boonecounty.in.gov.
